Case Study
The Texas General Land Office is the state agency responsible for collecting oil and gas royalties on millions of acres of state-owned land and depositing that money into the state's Permanent School Fund. Under commissioner Garry Mauro, the Land Office sponsored a number of different initiatives and special programs to educate state legislators and the general public that the increased use of natural gas and propane, which are abundant in Texas, would increase state revenue and decrease pollution. The agency needed branding that would be inviting and friendly, though still educational, informative and authoritative.
